Pythagoras Was Right!

To answer your questions, no, the world isn't flat so I didn't sail off the edge of the earth. And no, I have not been abducted by sea creatures.

All I can say, there were way more hours of fun to be had this summer than exists in a equatorial summer. So, being in the Pacific Northwest we have to be frugal with our days of summer and unfortunately blogging didn't make the cut.

So now that the cold has set in and the days have sunken into the darkness of winter, I finally have time to get around to posting. No, I'm not going to bore you with multiple outdated posts.

In gesture of peace, I'm going to channel the spirit of Speed Dating.

Don't be put off by the fact that I have never speed dated, but by the end of this post you should be able to judge whether or not I am worthy of forgiveness of my blogging sins.

Don't worry there will be lots of pictures so it should be easy to keep up!  We'll be picking up just after the last race I blogged about.

Sunset off the coast of Washington while bringing Wave Dancer back to from Victoria, BC To Astoria, OR
Passing a tall ship while heading over the Columbia River Bar with five knots of current on our nose. I don't think that ship was making any ground!

Soaking up the summer sun on the lake.

Evening racing on Party Girl.

Teaching the kids to sail.

Nine boat raft up to watch fireworks on the 4th of July.

Summer swimming and high diving off the bow.
Calm evening sail.
Last hurrah sail of the year on the mighty Columbia River!
Early morning departure from Astoria heading up river.

Orion's Wake all tucked in nice and dry for the winter.

So there we are, the whole summer in one post.

Keep us on your radar, sailing season starts for us in April!
